Who Originally created in association with the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the iTheatrics’ Junior Teaching Intensives are lead by the people who helped create the Broadway Junior Collection at Music Theatre International.Teaching artists include Timothy A. McDonald, Steven G. Kennedy, Cynthia Ripley and Marty Johnson.The Junior Teaching Intensives are sanctioned by the New York City Department of Education.
What The iTheatrics Junior Teaching Intensives create a fun environment in which a small group of educators hone their directing skills through interactive, hands-on activities addressing all elements of musical theatre production from casting, staging and choreography, to rehearsal techniques and the technical aspects of theatre. Teachers learn the secrets of producing a successful all-school musical from the people who created not only the Broadway Junior Collection, but also designed and wrote the resources educators have come to rely on like the Director’s Guide, the Choreography DVD and so much more!
Where Junior Teaching Intensives are held at the iTheatrics headquarters in New York City each July.In addition, special intensives are held regionally at major performing arts centers and regional theaters across the country.
