iTheatrics unleashes the transformative power of the arts for kids: By creating new musicals and professional stage productions for family audiences (also called TYA titles or Theatre for Young Audiences), including The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley, Jim Henson’s Emmet Otter, The Phantom Tollbooth and Roald Dahl’s James and the Giant Peach. By adapting existing Broadway and West End musicals for performance by elementary, middle, and high school students, along with a toolkit of resources to help educators successfully stage a musical in their communities. By building full-immersion educational programs for Broadway, off-Broadway and touring shows – from driving group sales and creating the educational study guides and special programs, to branding the show in the educational arena and making the day-of theatre experience child-friendly. By producing the annual Junior Theater Festival, the world’s largest festival dedicated to elementary and middle school students performing musical theatre. With programs like the Junior Teaching Intensives and Junior Theater Academy, we help students and teachers develop their skills as musical theater artists.
